All the Vogue runway updates I am currently receiving daily spark me to find ways of incorporating some of the magic into my own wardrobe, I had such fun putting together last weeks ‘inspired’ look, that I thought I’d put together a few more. There are so many great colour combinations, with looks to suit everyone, and every budget, and scouting around for high street pieces online is surely the perfect past time in this weather!Mulberry ss 2013 inspired

Iced pineapple and flowering teas. Today has been a day of drinks. Having dashed in a huge circle around town in search of charcoal coloured paint and a post office that was open. On my way home I bought a pink of milk in a bid to make my own latte instead of spending five times the amount on a take away cup. The satisfying ritual of grinding my own beans and heating the milk slowly in a saucepan.

After coffee flowering tea and then this afternoon, the most refreshing juice. A twist on a Juicmaster favourite, it might well be in one of the many juice recipe books, but I just grabbed whatever was laying about today and had a happy success.

1/2 a medium pineapple
1/2 an unwaxed lemon
1/2 a lime (peeled)
2 royal gala apples
1 sprig of fresh mint
1 hand full of ice
(You could also splash some vodka or spiced rum in there for a weekend drink!)

Juice the apples, citrus fruits and pineapple (in that order) in a juice extractor. Put the fresh fruit juice, ice and mint in a blender and blend until smooth with a frothy top, pour, garnish and drink. So refreshing and yummy. x

Visit St-Leonards-On-SeaWhat will you be doing next weekend? I think I will take the walk to St Leonards, (long neglected but believe it or not), the posh end in the past, it seemed everyone put their heart into our Old Town and somewhat forgot about traveling the other way along the promenade. But now it’s community is growing stronger and more interesting every year. New shops and cafes popping up. New and old folk moving in and over. Fresh eyes-fresh start. Here are a few of my favourite places. (more…)

The Natural HomeThe Natural Home-Hans Blomquist The Natural Home-Hans Blomquist

I have been doting on the pages of Hans Blomquist’s The Natural Home, for months. I love the idea of living in more subtle surroundings, darker and lighter, natural, more masculine, earthy colours, wood mixed with wild flowers, linens and antiques. Perfect Sunday dreaming. (more…)

Sunday Pancakes with sprinklesSunday Pancakes with sprinklesSomething sweet for a gloomy Sunday morning, colourful brunch or early afternoon tea. An Autumn version of a simple favourite Fairy Bread. All you need is a batch of scotch pancakes, smooth jam in your favourite flavour (I chose Apricot), sugar sprinkles, and a heart shaped cookie cutter. Toast the pancakes, when cool enough to handle, cut your hearts with the cookie cutter. Spread with jam or a little melted (real) butter right to the edges. Sprinkle with sugar strands! Sunday Pancakes with sprinkles

Happy Sunday xxx
