Well, today really has been sparkling, the sun has been shining from sunrise to sunset. Warm enough to walk in to town in just a cosy jumper and sheepskin boots to gather lunch things. This makes me really happy, so pleased to be peeling off some layers, I am so over bundling up to stay warm.
Catching the sunbeams and reflecting them all around is my matchbox for day 26, the sparkling one. A pretty papered box, wrapped with a vintage ribbon and rhinestone buckle, topped with a paper leaf and beaded embellishment. Just like the kind you might find hidden in an attic or old jewellery box.
Inside the drawer is lined with glitter dusted rhinestones and a tiny antique paper picture of a old stately home. A tea dyed parcel wrapped with fine string opens up to reveal a vintage Diamante bow pendant with a glass bead that hangs from a sheer organza ribbon. Listed now x
All the things used in my matchboxes are sentimental and have been saved for their beauty and unusual qualities, I have kept most of them for years just waiting for a project like this. I am so pleased that over half of them have sold, please take a look at the remaining boxes, maybe one will catch your heart or be the perfect gift for someone you know, and of course all the money raised is going to charity. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, see you tomorrow and hopefully for the last few days of this challenge x
