I don’t know who I am trying to kid when I say that “I’m not that into pink”. Unbelievably I say and think it quite often, Have you seen this place? I think I have mentioned before that a tutor at college once told me that looking at the colour pink induces the same happiness as the sun, well I get my fair share of smiles around here. I don’t quite know what I would do if the husband and I ever had a son? Best they go shopping alone.

These kittens are lucky they don’t have to wear clothes because I do have fond memories of being six years old and pushing our Tabby cat around the garden in my dolls pram and him being quite indifferent about wearing a pink knitted bonnet, even though he was a boy.
Anyway back to the pink and it must be true, lots of things make me smile from cheek to cheek but a pastel pink cake is up there near the top of the list. This one baked for a friends birthday dinner at ours yesterday was rather tall and got demolished in no time.
The strawberries somehow got left behind but they made a good breakfast this morning. I saw the idea for cake bunting over at Kiki La Ru, I was after the lovely set called Amelie, but I didn’t leave enough time to order it, so I made my own.
the cake looks delicious… but what makes me laugh is the tiny tail gracefully wrapped on the furry little paws! hahahahahaha
cats are so fun!
I love how you made the cake extra high and the icing & garland just finish it off beautifully. Pink is my favourite colour too.
Luv Kat x
Your kittens make my heart melt. I am desperate for my own, but renting our home proves an obstacle. I’ll have to make do with admiring your little tigers for now!
uhhmmmm so gorgeous, oh my would have love to eat all that pink
Ooo, I really want to make tiny bunting for my boy’s birthday cake. Not sure he will care but I certainly will!
