ICING AND GLITTER

I am sorry for the long silence, I have been helping friends, road tripping, making decorations, shopping, lunching and sometimes slacking, with a bit of unspeakable rum drinking and fast food consumed in between. The husband is away so nutrition seems to have slipped down the list, much to my horror as now I feel rather run down and lacking in creative will. But I am back in the game baking a three tier white chocolate wedding cake today.
I still love this outfit (top) from one of my collages three years ago it looks so comfy but glamourous, two things that don’t in reality fit in the same sentence very often.I have also been making a small forest of simple glittered pine cones to dress any bare branches left of our christmas tree, they are so easy to make, I just brushed them with pearl, silver, gold and pewter acrylic paints then dipped them in dishes of blended coarse and fine glitter. By the end my finger tips were encrusted with paint and sparkles.

Anyway, back to cake decorating for me, have a good day x

This Saturday I will make a trip to the forrest (despite an expected snowstorm here, according to the wather forecast) in a quest for some pine cones, tree branches, red berries, moss, and all other stuff which I will use to make my Christmas beautiful! Can’t wait! Thank you for sharing the idea for iced pine cones, maybe I will try too :)!
